It appears that incumbent Mark R. Bair and newcomer Jessica Lewis will serve as commissioners for Bingham County in the future.
Bair, who currently serves as commissioner for the First District, garnered 3,600 votes during the Republican Primary Election on Tuesday, while challenger Jeffrey L. Kelley received 2,694.
Lewis, a current Bingham County employee, earned the most votes in the race for Commissioner Third District with 2,943. Richard W. Stokes and Glenn Andersen received 1,612 and 1,586 votes, respectively.
Ladd Carter currently serves in that position, but he did not seek reelection this year.
Although the wins just mean that Bair and Lewis will move on to the General Election in November, the candidates will be running unopposed.
